
Darrell Billings has long had a heart for service and is driven to helping others. A lifelong Kentuckian, Darrell is a small business owner and farmer who has served on numerous boards and philanthropic committees in Powell, Estill and Madison Counties and at the state level.
An active member of his community, Darrell has served as the director of the Marcum Wallace Hospital Board since 2009. Since 2010, he has served on the Future Farmers of America Foundation board, with a stint as chairman, where his leadership raised a million dollars for the organization. In 2019, Darrell was recognized with an Honorary American FFA Degree, an award that recognizes those who demonstrate outstanding personal commitment to furthering the mission of agricultural education.
Darrell has also served on the Kentucky High School Athletic Association board and is the past President of the Board of Control. Other highlights of his service include 20 years on the Natural Bridge Park Board Association, service on the Hospice East Board of Directors, membership in the Powell County Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, Director of the Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association, and Chairman of the Madison County Salvation Army.
Darrell graduated from Powell County High School in 1981, and continued his education at Morehead State before attending Eastern Kentucky University. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, is a public school teacher, for nearly 40 years. They enjoy taking care of and spending time with their two grandchildren -- Bryson and Bailee -- and reside in Stanton.
